The forecast calls for widespread smoke today and tonight, southwest wind gusting to 40 km/h this afternoon, and more widespread smoke Saturday.
No official Boundary-region evacuation order or alert was found in the DriveBC emergency-alert API or the EmergencyInfoBC text pull this morning. Nearby wildfire records below are map-layer monitoring points; they are not evacuation notices and should not be treated as instructions by themselves.

- Weather: the warning field remains YELLOW WARNING - AIR QUALITY for both Grand Forks and Rock Creek. The forecast continues to emphasize widespread smoke, with Friday’s high near 34 C and southwest wind gusting to 40 km/h this afternoon.
- Wildfire map: N61201 changed from Being Held back to Out of Control in the under-90 km pull, about 67.8 km from Greenwood, and its listed size changed from 5.83 ha Thursday morning to 8.5 ha in this pull. Treat that as official map-feed status context, not a local evacuation notice.
- Closest out-of-control point: N61319 remains the closest Out of Control wildfire-map entry found, about 41.6 km from Greenwood, still listed at 29.69 ha and not marked as a wildfire of note in the API response.
